Prerequisites

You must have access to the Bazefield web server to resolve this issue.

Problem

Attempting to load any web page from the Bazefield web server fails with an HTTP 500 error:

Calling LoadLibraryEx on ISAPI filter "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\\aspnet_filter.dll" failed

This is more likely to occur on new installations.

Resolution

Step 1: Navigate to the ISAPI Filters section of IIS Manager

IIS Manager -> Top server level -> ISAPI Filters

Step 2: Remove the extra backslash in the executable path

Background

Depending on how the installation is done, an extra backslash may be added to the aspnet_filter.dll path which prevents IIS from finding it.
